We will try our best—and be blunt about the options and outcomes. We can do what most others won't touch, but would like you to consider the following:
- Some things are just too far-gone.
- Sometimes it would change the piece too much and destroy the memory.
- We are limited by physics and chemistry and the principles of engineering.
- You can't wear your favorite shirt every day, never wash it and never take it off and expect it to last forever. Even the sun will run out one day.
Remember that antique jewelry exists today because someone took care of it. We feel we are custodians not owners. We wear jewelry from all eras but treat it with respect and understanding. You can't expect the Edwardian filigree ring to last if you wear it while rock climbing.
